Make (Integromat) with MintRender
Make calls MintRender with its HTTP module. Each run sends a template id and values from earlier modules, and gets the file's URL back.
Before you start
Make and publish a template in the editor, and copy its id.
Make an API key under Account, API keys. Use a test key (
mr_test_…, with a watermark, no cost) while you build.
One image
Add the HTTP module "Make a request" and set:
| URL | https://mintrender.com/v1/render |
| Method | POST |
| Headers | Authorization: Bearer mr_live_… (your key) |
| Body type | Raw |
| Content type | JSON (application/json) |
| Request content | the JSON below; map values from earlier modules into it |
| Parse response | Yes |
{ "template": "YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID", "data": { "title": "Hello from Make" }, "format": "png"}In the answer, outputs holds the files: each url is a file's address. Each template page in the gallery shows the request content with that template's fields.
Map values
Put mapped items from earlier modules inside the JSON strings. Here module 1 gives title and image_url:
{ "template": "YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID", "data": { "title": "{{1.title}}", "photo": "{{1.image_url}}" }, "format": "png"}A value with a double quote or a line break breaks the JSON. Clean such text first, for example with Make's text functions. Every value type of Template data works.
Get the file
For the file itself in the answer, use the URL https://mintrender.com/v1/render?inline=1 with one size. The module's data is then the file, ready for an email attachment, Google Drive or Dropbox module.
One file per sheet row
Use the same module with URL https://mintrender.com/v1/batch and this content. Share the sheet as a CSV link first. Its first row names the fields.
{ "template": "YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID", "format": "pdf", "csv_url": "https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/YOUR_SHEET/export?format=csv", "zip": true, "webhook_url": "YOUR_MAKE_WEBHOOK_URL"}Add a "Custom webhook" trigger in a second scenario to hear when the batch is done. The call carries event (batch.completed) and data with the counts and zip_url. zip_url is a path on the API: get https://mintrender.com plus that path with an HTTP module and the same Authorization header to download the ZIP. See Batches and CSV.
When a call fails
An error answer has error.code, error.message and error.field. A 429 has a Retry-After header in seconds. Every code is on the Errors page.
