Check how a link looks on LinkedIn
Paste the address of a page to see a copy of its card in a LinkedIn post, and on the other platforms too. This is our own check. It is not made by LinkedIn.

How to use it
Paste the address of a public page.
Press "Check the link".
Read what to fix, then see the previews for each platform.
Do this with the API
Put one signed link in the meta tags of your page template. Each page on your site then gets an og:image with its own title on it. Read the docs or start free.
Questions
What size is an og:image?
1200 × 630 pixels (about 1.91:1). It looks sharp on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Slack and Discord. Keep the file under 5 MB, as a PNG or JPEG.
Why does LinkedIn or X show an old image?
They keep a copy of each link for some days. Change the image's file name or add a version to its URL (for example og.png?v=2) to make them fetch it again.
Can I check a localhost page?
No. The checker opens public pages only, and it refuses localhost and private network addresses. Put the page on a public test address first.
Which tags do I need?
og:title, og:description, og:image and og:url, and twitter:card set to summary_large_image for a big image on X. The checker lists each tag it found and what is missing.
What file size and format should the image be?
PNG or JPEG, at most 5 MB (X and LinkedIn refuse larger files). SVG images do not show on these platforms.
