MintRender vs Templated
Templated makes images, PDFs and videos from templates through an API, with an editor, Canva import, no-code integrations and an MCP server. Below are the prices, the credit rules and the features of both, and when each one is the better pick for you.

Pick Templated when
- You design in Canva and want to import those designs.
- You need video (in beta) or HTML output from the same templates.
Pick MintRender when
- You want a lower price per file: MintRender costs less at each volume in the table.
- You want signed links that make the image when someone opens them, and SVG output.
- You want a free plan that renews each month instead of a 50-credit trial.

Credit rules
Templated
MintRender
- One image or one PDF page costs one credit, for every template and every format.
- If you send the same template and data again, you get the stored file for free. Previews, test keys and failed renders also cost nothing.
- Extra credits are off until you turn them on, and you set a monthly spending limit. Unused credits do not carry over.

Move from Templated
Make the template again in the MintRender editor (or start from a template), give each changing layer the same field name, then change the API call.

MintRender field names use letters, digits and _ (text-1 becomes text_1).
- Both answer with the file's URL when the render is done.
