Credit rules

Orshot

  • 1 credit = 1 image = 1 PDF page = 1 video second (rounded up). source
  • A few library templates cost more than 1 credit per image; the cost shows on the template's page. source
  • Video costs 8 credits a second in overage. source
  • AI actions (background removal, AI images, voiceover) use separate AI credits. source
  • Credits reset each month and do not roll over. Overage is off until you turn it on, with a spending cap. source
  • The API reports renders: 2 renders = 1 credit. source

MintRender

  • One image or one PDF page costs one credit, for every template and every format.
  • If you send the same template and data again, you get the stored file for free. Previews, test keys and failed renders also cost nothing.
  • Extra credits are off until you turn them on, and you set a monthly spending limit. Unused credits do not carry over.

Move from Orshot

Make the template again in the MintRender editor (or start from a template), give each changing layer the same field name, then change the API call.

Orshot source

curl -X POST https://api.orshot.com/v1/studio/render \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $ORSHOT_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "templateId": "<YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID>", "modifications": { "title": "Welcome to Orshot", "subtitle": "Generate images at scale" }, "response": { "format": "png", "type": "url" } }'

MintRender

curl -X POST https://mintrender.com/v1/render \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $MINTRENDER_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "template": "YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID", "data": { "title": "Welcome to MintRender", "subtitle": "Generate images at scale" }, "format": "png" }'
  • templateId becomes template, and modifications becomes data, with the same field names.
  • response.format becomes format. MintRender always answers with a URL, so there is no response.type.
